Find photos your team has not posted yet.

A large brand photo library can contain plenty of usable material that never reaches social. Somea's Not posted view narrows the library to photos with no published use recorded in Somea, then keeps semantic search and post creation in the same workflow.

The archive can be full while the active content pool feels small.

Teams often reuse the same easy-to-find photos because the storage system does not answer a simple publishing question: what useful material have we not posted yet?

A campaign shoot, event, store opening, product session, or team day can create dozens of good photos while only a handful make it into published posts. Months later, those unused selects are hard to distinguish from material that has already been used unless someone remembers the history manually.

Somea keeps the source photos in the connected Google Drive or Dropbox library and adds a publishing-aware view on top. The Not posted collection shows photos with no published use recorded in Somea, so the team can start discovery from unused inventory instead of browsing the entire archive again.

Go from unposted inventory to a reviewed social draft.

The usage filter reduces the candidate pool; semantic search and human judgment still decide which photo is actually right for the post.

  1. Open the Not posted view

Filter the Library to photos with no published use recorded in Somea instead of scanning every connected Asset.

  2. Search inside that unused set

Describe the subject, scene, product, person, mood, season, or campaign context you need. The collection filter remains applied while search narrows the candidates.

  3. Preview and choose the strongest photos

Review the actual visual and select one photo or several in the order you want to carry forward. Usage status is a discovery aid, not a quality or brand-suitability judgment.

  4. Start a post or carousel

Owners and editors can hand the selected photos into Planner, where the existing composer opens with those Assets attached. Nothing is published by this handoff.

  5. Finish with normal human review

Shape the message, check the visual context, and keep the existing review, scheduling, and connected publishing controls before anything goes live.

“Not posted” is useful because its meaning is narrow and explicit.

QuestionWhat Somea can tell youWhat still needs checking
Has this photo been published through the recorded Somea workflow? The Not posted view excludes photos with a published use recorded in Somea.Confirm any publication history that happened outside Somea if that matters to the decision.
Has this photo appeared in a draft?Draft use does not by itself count as a published use for the Not posted filter.Check current drafts if duplicate work in progress would be a problem.
Is an unposted photo automatically a good choice? No. The filter only tells you about recorded published use.A person still checks relevance, freshness, rights, accuracy, and brand fit before using it.

Most useful when production creates more photography than social consumes.

  • Shoots leave a long tail of good unused selects

You regularly publish only a fraction of the photos produced for campaigns, products, events, spaces, or people.

  • The same hero images keep resurfacing

The team defaults to familiar files because remembering what has and has not been posted is harder than finding the newest folder.

  • Your social workflow already records publishing in Somea

The Not posted signal is strongest when the publishing history you care about is captured in Somea rather than split across untracked external workflows.

  • You want unused inventory to lead directly into creation

Finding an overlooked photo is more valuable when the team can immediately carry it into a post or carousel draft without downloading and rebuilding the context elsewhere.
